Elephants hold a special place in the heart of Thailand, embodying a rich cultural heritage that symbolizes strength, wisdom, and grace. These majestic creatures have been an integral part of Thai society for centuries, perfectly honored in the Chiang Mai sanctuary. Upon arrival, three gentle giants greeted me with a sack of bananas, in the most intimidatingly peaceful way. Today, Thailand remains one of the few places in the world that provide the rare opportunity to connect humanely with the jungle's most regal inhabitants.
